About trusting yourself…

About trusting yourself…

2 Cor. 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.

Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test? (NIV)

Life can be full of disappointment. Life can be full of failure. Life can be full of dashed hopes and dreams.

We must often trust our insight, abilities, and wisdom, but our failure stops us from trusting ourselves.

We make mistakes and then we become uncertain. We experience failure and then our confidence is shattered.

We must all realize to err is human. We all make mistakes. We all fail.

Sometimes we err, make mistakes, and fail miserably.

However, we must look at these matters in the light of Christ's love and grace.

Christ died for you, even though you err, make mistakes, and fail miserably.

Christ died for you not only because He loves you, but also because He can see your potential to do better and be better.

You can trust yourself to grow and gain in all you are because in Christ there is the power to grow.

In Christ, although you may be old, you can start over.

In Christ, you can become a new person with a new life no matter your age or station in life.

Obviously, we are all weak in some areas.

When dealing with our weaknesses, our mistakes, and our sin, we are to go to Christ, tell Him the truth,

and pray for strength to grow and mature as His child.

We are to use our reason. We are to use expertise wherever we can find it.

We are to use God's wisdom first and last. When we do these things, trusting oneself becomes automatic.

God's wisdom
